Senior SEM Manager

We’re seeking an experienced SEM Manager to lead and execute all search engine marketing strategies across Trader Interactive’s commercial and recreational brands. Reporting to the AVP of Performance Marketing, the SEM Manager will be responsible for overseeing campaign planning, ad copy development, keyword growth, bidding strategies, A/B testing, and ongoing optimization to drive incremental qualified traffic to our digital marketplaces.
This high-impact role manages approximately $5M–$7M in annual SEM media spend and plays a critical part in generating quality leads for both dealer partners and private sellers by maximizing visibility, relevance, and performance across Google and Bing search ecosystems.

What You’ll Do
- Own and manage all SEM programs across Commercial and Recreational marketplaces.
- Develop and execute data-driven SEM strategies to drive incremental, qualified traffic.
- Lead campaign structure and creation, including keyword expansion, match type strategy, and account hygiene.
- Write and optimize compelling ad copy aligned to brand tone and audience intent.
- Oversee bidding strategies, budget allocation, and portfolio optimization to achieve target CPLs and ROIs.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, uncover trends, and proactively drive continuous improvement.
- Test and iterate on creative, landing pages, and bidding tactics to maximize performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, Content, and Brand teams to ensure alignment and impact.
- Work closely with SEM vendors and platforms to leverage new opportunities and tools.
- Provide clear reporting and strategic insights to stakeholders, including performance recaps and growth recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience managing complex SEM programs.
- Proven track record of driving lead generation and traffic growth in high-scale environments.
- Deep expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Search Ads 360, and bid management tools.
- Strong understanding of keyword strategy, ad copy testing, conversion optimization, and campaign automation.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Adobe Analytics, Excel/Sheets, and reporting platforms.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale budgets and balancing brand vs. performance goals.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence across teams and levels.
