What You’ll Do
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing and sales strategies and will be able to partner successfully with our dealer sales team to identify and uncover opportunities for revenue generation Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively nurture and strengthen our relationships with a portfolio of high-value dealership accounts. Your primary mission is to ensure our clients are maximizing the value of our advertising solutions, leading to increased client satisfaction, product adoption, and long-term loyalty.
Conduct regular, in-depth analyses of client advertising campaigns, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Vehicle Detail Page (VDP) views, lead conversion rates, click-through rates (CTR), and cost-per-lead.
Translate complex data into actionable insights for clients to demonstrate ROI, share industry trends, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize their advertising spend and performance.
Utilize data and performance dashboards to identify at-risk accounts. Develop and execute proactive "save" strategies, handle escalations with professionalism, and negotiate contract renewals.
Identify opportunities to grow accounts by introducing new products, features, or service tiers that align with the client's business goals, collaborating closely with the Sales team.
Guide and mentor junior Retention Specialists, sharing best practices for client communication, data analysis, and retention strategies.
Contribute to the creation and refinement of team-wide retention playbooks, processes, and reporting. Analyze overall retention and churn metrics (ChurnRate) to identify macro trends and inform leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Negotiation & Influence: Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully renewing contracts and handling difficult client conversations.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role such as Account Management, Customer Success, or Retention, preferably within a B2B SaaS, digital media, or ad-tech environment.
- Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations. Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce is a strong plus) and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Google Analytics).
- Strategic Thinker: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage complex client issues and develop sophisticated retention and possible growth strategies.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for building rapport and presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
Bonus Points:
- Direct experience in the non-automotive industry or working with dealerships.
- A deep understanding of dealership operations and marketing needs.
- Experience in a senior or lead role, including mentoring team members.
