What You'll Do
The Senior Product Manager (AI) is responsible for defining, delivering, and iterating AI-powered products and capabilities throughout the product life cycle — connecting data, machine learning, and large language models to real customer/consumer problems and measurable business outcomes.
Own the vision, strategy, and market fit for AI-powered products and experiences within your domain (e.g., recommendations, pricing, search, workflow automation, conversational tools).
Build deep consumer and dealer understanding through interviews, discovery sessions, and usage analytics to identify where AI can add real value (and where it should not be used).
Serve as internal and external subject matter expert on your AI products, including their capabilities, limitations, and responsible-use guidelines, measurement and monitoring.
Own the end-to-end product plan for AI capabilities, from discovery and problem framing through launch, adoption, and continuous optimization.
Drive innovative, AI-enabled solutions that align to strategic business goals and are grounded in realistic data, model, and UX constraints.
Gather business and data requirements from a variety of sources (consumers, dealers, account owners, sales, support, data science) and translate them into clear product outcomes and increments.
Document and elaborate requirements, partnering with business and technology leadership to prioritize AI opportunities within the overall product roadmap.
Maintain and prioritize a large product backlog that includes discovery, experimentation, and delivery work for AI features, as well as the data and tech debt required to keep them healthy.
Serve as subject matter expert in relevant product domains, assisting with customer UAT, defect triage, and mitigation efforts — with particular attention to AI-specific issues such as output quality, bias, hallucination, and safety.
Partner with stakeholders to define minimum viable products for AI features, balancing value, feasibility, risk, and responsible-use considerations.
Inspect, accept, or reject completed development work against defined acceptance criteria, UX standards, and key performance metrics for AI behaviors.
Communicate work in progress, results from experiments, and upcoming priorities to key internal and external stakeholders in a clear, non-hype way.
Collaborate across Data, Sales, Design, other Product teams, QA, and Engineering to produce prototypes and proof-of-concept experiences that validate AI opportunities quickly.
Collaborate with software development and data science to build robust, scalable AI solutions for existing and potential customers.
Develop a nuanced understanding of the target markets and user bases (including their workflows and risk tolerance) to guide decisions on AI product backlog and prioritization.
Contribute to business cases that justify AI investments, clearly articulating expected value, costs (including model and infrastructure costs), and key risks.
Conduct customer, market, and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, market gaps, and unmet customer needs, with a specific lens on how AI is changing user expectations.
Act as project manager lead in strategic AI initiatives for discovery and delivery, ensuring tight coordination across teams.
